Binding mounting not even by ~2mm

I stood my new Pocket Rockets against the wall and noticed that the binding on one ski appeared to be slightly forward of the binding on the other. It turns out that one binding is mounted about 2mm ahead of the other. It is a visible difference even if just barely.
My feeling is that since I'm not going to be competing in the World Cup (I know - you're all very surprised that someone named 'Bearberry' would *NOT* be threatening the Herminator's dominance this year... And ALSO believe that the PR would make a fine showing on the WC circuit), is this 2mms going to have any noticeable effect on my skiing? These skis will be used primarily off piste.
I'm not interested in attacking the shop in any way - these people have been great over the years, and I view this as one of those lapses we all make from time to time. If necessary, however, I would ask them to move the bindings back 1 cm (which might be a better position anyway - and something I planned to consider after skiing them a few times).
Thanks for your help. -Mike

how did you measure this, when i used to work in a shop people would often come in asking about mounts from other stores. more often than not the brakes on the bindings were hold the skis in such a way that it appeared they were mounted different. for best results elastic the brakes up out of the way and measure the tip to toe/tail to heel and see what happens

2mm? leave it alone.

I'd ask the shop to teach you how to tell of there is a problem.

How's that for being tactful?

Thanks everyone.

Max, you're the ultimate diplomat. Next time I bring the skis in for tuning, I'll follow your suggestion. Until then, I'll try to forget the 2 mm.

Just for clarification, the bindings are Look P12 lifters (separate heel & toe pieces). The toe piece on one is clearly mounted slightly further forward than the toe on the other - also visible by comparing mounting to Salomon design imprints in the ski next to the binding.

All in all, no reason for too much concern - but still, I'm used to seeing my bindings being perfectly aligned with each other...

I wouldn't judge the location of the bindings by the ski graphics. Graphics can be off by more than 2mm. Graphic topsheets are usually laid in the press by hand, and thus are subject to considerable variation.

I also wouldn't worry about the 2mm. There are skis on the world cup that are 2mm off.
