SO it is official- tomorrow is opening day. Got to work tomorrow and Sunday, but that means I'm off on Monday! Anyone interested in meeting for very early season turns on ersatz snow?

dp,

I am planning to be there both Monday and Wednesday. If your definitely going to be there shoot me a PM and we can meet.

Hopefully I can chase down a few other Bears and maybe Copper Mtn staff to make a few turns.

Can I come out to play, too? Wednesday would work for me.

sounds great! (but I can't make it on Wednesday- have to work sometime). I will let you know about times- I am on call on Sunday, so if I am up really late I will probably get a late start, but I plan to be there for sure. I guess this means I also have to fill that big core shot in my rock skis that I got on closing day at the basin!

Hey Mike Wilson- I think I will try to hook up with you guys on Monday. What time?

Katy,

I'll be there between 8:30 and 9 in the cafeteria then catching an early chair to see if I can still stand up. Mike M has another thread saying he'll be there about 9:30. Looking forward to sliding (and yes, I'll will still be going down to Denver to work on my other game for a few more weeks!)

We'll be there on Wednesday too. Give me a call if you need a ride since the Summit Stage doesn't make it up the hill.

May even bring out the video camera.

Michael's thread is for Monday November 1st. Are you guys talking about the 18th? Both Mark and I will join you folks on the 1st. Mike, I'll call you about Wednesday!

And if you bring the video camera, point it away from me!

Smile for the camera!!!

As long as you don't post any videos on Epic! And come on! You have a whole season to teach, you're not going to waste your time doing MA when you could be freeskiing??? BTW, you guys have your teaching schedule yet for Copper?

LM,

I may leave the video camera home-it is a pain to ski with anyway-no guarantees. But then again I may just bring the digital still camera that does some neat little burst shots.

With the fine phone system up here on the side of Buffalo Mtn I don't do much video posting anyway-your safe.

dp,

We'll plan to check in near the ATM mike_m mentioned in his Loveland thread on the hour. (Need coffee, much coffee!) Most likely I'll wear wearing a red vest over a black windbreaker with black Spyder coaches bibs if the weather hasn't deteriorated too much. If it has gone to snow or (argh) rain-never trust mountain weather- I'll have a brown and black Mountain Hardware jacket and the Spyder bibs. Also will have my gray Leedom helmet, Salomon 3'V's (168cm), blue poles. I plan to be there at least through noon.

My schedule is basically work Sunday through Thursday with Friday and Saturday off-I rarely go near a ski area on my days off. Usually Sunday, Monday and Wednesday early mornings are devoted to either training or being trained. There will be some exceptions to the normal schedule for my PGA committments.

It is amazing how hard it is to just free ski without observing-may not say anything but the mind always seems to be in analysis mode. Of course on a real powdah day things are different. Never have anybody to watch cause I'm looking for the untracked-there are no friends on a powdah day!!!

I get it. I can't go to the gym with friends without correcting their form!

Hi Mike- I will be wearing either a gray softshell (good weather) or a blue Arcteryx shell (less than good weather or threatening to) and a black Boeri helmet, black pants. Probably bringing my rock skis (Volant Ti power). I will plan to make it up as close to 8:30 as I am able to , depending on how late I end up working (or if I get called in in the early morning). I'll pm my cellular number to you, too. Looking forward to it!!
