OK, I misremembered on Keystone, but here's the link
to the article where it mentions Copper plans to open on November 5. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, just that it was in the paper.
From the 9/22 Summit Daily News
in an article "Early snowfall brings smiles to skiers' faces":
|Copper Mountain Resort plans to open Nov. 5, and Breckenridge and Keystone resorts hope to open Nov. 12. Snowmaking has already begun at Copper Mountain Resort and Arapahoe Basin Ski Area.
Copper Mountain got three to four inches of snow in the Center Village, and various depths on the mountain, said Katelin Hill, public relations coordinator for Copper Mountain Resort.
Let's hope they were right! Been a bit warm during the days since then.
edit: Just found the other article
about Keystone hoping to move up dates:
|Keystone Resort plans to begin snowmaking Oct. 18 and to open Nov. 12.
"We're going to be ready to start earlier than that if there's opportunity for productive snowmaking," said spokeswoman Lisha Burnett.
So there's a chance we're skiing in less than 30 days!
