Park City Lodging Advice

Thread Starter
My wife and I will be in Park City from 2/26/05 through 3/5/05. We currently are trying to decide between The Lodge at Mountain Village and Snow Flower Condominiums (both offer ski in/ski out). The cost is about the same. Any recommendations, advice, or caution would be appreciated.

I stayed at the lodge at mountain village 2 years ago. While clean and confortable, it was somewhat dated and not worth the money they charged then. Someone on this board from PC said they had updated many of the units since then. Location was great. If there is a way I would check and make sure what I am getting in advance.

We stayed at the Lodge a few years ago and I agree. Clean and nice and a great location but dated. We stayed in a studio and it was huge. You can get a better rate with AAA to make it a little more affordable or look at www.vrbo.com to rent direct from owners.

Thanks for the information. I have been looking at www.vrbo.com for other options. However, I would like to buy the Silver Passport lift ticket and it seems to only be available if you book through an agency. Does anyone know if you can purchase the lift ticket if you rent directly from a condo owner?

Unless The condo owner buys into the silver pass program then no. As for a place to stay Snowflower condos have a vary nice location. Your away from the main base area so it is more privet and a nice setting with lots of open space and grounds. It is still close to resort base and close to the free bus system. You also have vary easy acess to first time lift and Eagle Lift. Many locals use Eagle to get away from the early morning conjestion at the Payday lift.

We live in PC and like Snow Flower. We own a condo there. It has outdoor pool, hot tub, work out room, and should be free broadband this year in the buildings. Lots of new remodels at Snow Flower. Right by the lifts for day/night skiing. Shuttle bus on the corner, and easy walk to groceries/movies.
