I’ve got a cat trip booked at Berthoud Pass in February. I own the Big Stix 84 and will bring it along but Berthoud has the Big Stix 106 as well as the Pocket Rocket available for the day.

Though I anticipate a day of mostly fresh untracked snow I have read that the 106 loves the fresh but in broken, crudded up snow they get pushed around a bit…the wide shovel deflects it seems. How about the Pocket Rocket in less than perfect powder? Or in perfect powder?

I’ve read a lot of good stuff about the PR and also that they are light and can be a bit squirrely. Anyone been on both of these? Opinions? Comparisons?
