boots/atomic vs. salomon?

1)salomon X-Wave 9.0
2)Atomic T11
3)Dalbello Avanti V11 MS

Before 3 years i bought one racing model from Rossignol (because they are cheaper in my country). I am thin and long (195 sm) and my feet are very narrow - comparing to the wide Rosgginol shoes. I took shoes one number smaller (because the ones of mine number were simply to wide) and at the end my foot-thumb-nail felt from the constant pressure. Nowadays I almost not ski with this boots and think of buying new ones - In germany i found the upper models to be the best ones, do you have some experinece with similar models from previous years - for example, which is better for powder, high speed. etc?
I personally prefer to ski in powder snow, or in the forest.

T11
If your feet are narrow you're not going to like the XWave. I don't know about the Dalbellos. You might want to look into some Langes as well.

I can't speak for how they'll fit narrow feet, but I've been wearing the Xwave 9 for 2 seasons ('02 model) and couldn't be happier. Just the right amount of stiffness for me, extremely comfortable all day, and warm, too. Worlds apart from my painful experience with my previous Lange XR Banshees. I rarely ski powder, so I can't help there, but they're a great choice if you like speed.

This type of question is real hard for anyone to answer because it comes down to what fits YOUR feet the best and how stiff YOU like a boot to be.

I ski the x-wave 10 and it fits me great. The x-wave series is not narrow by any means except in the heel area. I think you'll find the same thing with the Dalbello as well. I'm not familier with the T11.

If I had a narrow foot, I'd follow L7's lead and try a Lange boot or maybe a Rossi B2.

thank you for the advice!
I read that the Lange COMP or Technica Diablo are quite good, any impression?
Btw can you tell me, do you think that a real race boot (like T11) is suitable for powder skiing? Up to now I was always using "softer" boots...

If you have narrow feet the Atomic is going to be too wide in the forefoot for you and the T11 is not really a "REAL" race boot.

Real Race Boots are more along the lines of:

Salomon X2 Lab
Atomic Race-Tec
Dobermann WC
Lange RL1
Diablo Race pro

In other words the "PLUGS"

I agree with atomic man. Those boot syou listed are above avergae in width. I have seen narrower feet go into the x wave 10 because of the rigidity of the liner it hold the foot better than the most, but it is still a wide last.

The diablo is a wide boot as is the diablo wc 130. These boots are extremely volumous.
For narrow feet look at the doberman 150, the new head race boot, rl1 lange (very hard to get as is the s lab salomon) and the doberman 100 (same last as the 150 with a lower upper cuff and softer flex.) Lange comp 130 and 120 LF are narrow as well.

Foam is the ultimate. IF you can get hold of a strolz liner and someone who has the experience to foam you would be in business.

Confonformable foam is ok, but the iso/poly o foam rations make these boots super soft (the foam that is). It is impertive you goto someone who has lost of experience with these liners if you are going to get foamed.
Good lucj

The T11 is a real race boot in design in that it is the exact boot as the GS 11 or SX 11. However it is 20% softer and in my mind that's exactly what makes it better for powder and all terrain skiing for many if not most people.

But as Atomicman pointed out there may still be width issues. It is fairly wide in the forefoot but pretty snug in the heel for somewhat narrow heels.

Do you ever get tired of alluding to your greatness? Fine, not enough boot for A-man but more than sufficient for many others.

Miro, since you are in Europe I would also try and find either the Raichle Flexons or the new Dalbello Krypton (based on the Flexon- look at this thread). The Flexons are very low volume and a great fit for very narrow feet.

10x, i hope i will find some of these boots for a try
btw DP, I am actually in Germany,
Dalbello Krypton looks great on the site and i hope i will find it here in the shops, and about Raichle Flexons : do you mean the new model (kneissl flexon pro (T))? I must admit they look a little strange to me, but i read the tread and at least will try them on (if available)...

Check out the Salomon Pro Model or the Head S12, they are narrower fitting boots if you're looking for a notch or 2 down from a race boot. I have narrow feet and both those boots fit me pretty well. The S12 and RS 100 have a chasis you can insert to reduce the volume for narrower feet.

How's this: It's a race boot, it may even be a real race boot, but it's not a REAL race boot, much less a REAL race boot.

i read on the atomic site that T11 has two versions: for front side skiing and backside skiing - what does it mean?
Miro- the Kneissl and the Raichle are the same boot; Kneissl is now marketing the boot, although not in the US any longer. If I am not mistaken the difference between the Flexon Pro and the Flexon T is that one has a softer flex tongue (Phil, correct me if I am wrong about this). I do not recall which is which, and race flex tongues are available to switch out if you want more stiffness. I have a very narrow, low volume foot, and this is the boot that I ski in.

Specifically you may need to look for the T11 'black panther' which may be the only version coming into Canada. Same fit, same boot as GS 11 and SX.
I'm sure others will no far more about it as I'm clearly in no position and lack experience to know much of anything compared to others greatness.
If you find it great, if you think it doesn't qualify for some standard great. If you want to argue about it endlessly to little result or value.......enjoy.
