Got new SL:11's, and a few questions - Page 5

Info from another pair of the infamous Cupolo SL11s:

155 cm; marked 109-63-97, 11 m; Flex 41/29; A037030

In other words, identical (or awfully close) to the others.

They do indeed have different-shaped beta lobes. More rectangular. They don't seem to be particularly higher, just squarer in the shoulders.

165cm measures 165cm; 111-64-101; 12 meter radius; Flex 37/26 #A037032

Atomicman:
OUR 165 HAS A MODEL NUMBER OF A037032 111-64-101 12m
My 164 has a model # of A033100 and 109-63-97 13M

So, it would appear that all the apparent World Cup Models in a 155 or 165 size have a 37xxx model number.

Both Atomicman and I have 164's which are of the 33xxx series.

However, A-man's 164's are not World Cup, while mine are, based on their obvious construction differences (rectangular flat lobes & helicoils).

Yet my World Cup skis seem to be the oddball in that group because they appear to share a sidecut coser to Atomicman's non-WC. The graphic markings may mean nothing as Logruve pointed out, but my actual measured findings do seem to agree with the 13m radius measurements.

Do any of these model numbers, etc, really mean anything?
: as usual.

Also more of a gap between the lobes!

My 155cm SL11s also have a model number of A037030. Seems like the last two numbers have to do with the size of the ski. That A037xxx probably just is the model number for the race stock SL11, as it differs from the A033xxx of the non-race stock skis.

I guess that might make sense if it wasn't for my skis. I have the A033xxx series and yet it's been determined that I apparently have the World Cup skis.

Hey Guys,

Got my new SL11's from Cupolo yesterday and was perusing the internet to find more info about them. I was amazed to find the other ebayers who bought the same skis as me. Anyways, here are the details of my pair:

165cm, 111-64-101, 12 radius, A037032, flex 39/28. Johnny Mo's are identical with the exception of mine having a softer flex rating. What's up with that?

Thanks for all the info guys, if you have any more questions about my purchase, i'd be glad to answer.

BTW i'm 5'8 175lbs, and quite happy that these skis are stiffer than the retail version. I guess we'll have to wait for snow to decide whether or not we can handle these bad boys.

Just got the 155 (I am 6'0 and 175lbs -so I will proabably launch myself off into the woods with these things and blow out both knees!) SL 11 from Cupolo for $170 - unreal - I have skied the non race stock version of this ski and it is dynamite - super, super quick edge to edge - considering the very stiff flex on these skis - unless you are a big (over 180lbs), powerful skier, and assuming you primarily want to make sl turns the 155 is prob the better ski...I would imagine the 165 to be a chore to flex with consistent power.

Hi, I am keen of Atomic Skis too. I am skiing in slalom with a pair of Atomic 9.16 for 2 years. These skis have the same painting the original ones, but not the same size (171cm), not the same plate, not the same cut (110 65 100).
Can you tell me exactly what model it is. I think it's a European cup model but I am not sure...
Ithank you already for your help.

Manu

PS: excuse me for my English
PS2: I will try to post pics to help you...

the pics
the size of these skis is 171 cm (it's writen on it). Only 170 was sold in France. In fact I bought these skis in Kaprun (Austria) not very far from teh factory....

The plate (the same they had in 2002 in world-cup)

on original 9.16 the pad is black and not blue (only skies seen on TV have it)

The front isn't asymetric

Thank you for your future answers.

I have already asked it ion a French Forum but I didn' get anwers....
