Needless to say I downloaded it and on one of the first pages I read:
While rumor-mongers immediately suggested K2 would shift the production of Völkl skis from the company’s high-end German-based facility to K2’s existing factories in China, K2 chairman and chief executive officer, Richard Heckmann, quickly quashed that notion, saying, “That’s something that’s inherent to their status as a high-end ski brand. I certainly don’t want to be the one to tell the German, Austrian and Italian race communities that it doesn’t matter where their skis are made.
Question for you, also remembering what was said into the thread mentinoed into the title, why do you think it's important for Europeans to know where their skis/cars/appliances are made and why do you think it's not for Americans (if this is true at all)?
