Fat Ski Length For Lighter/Shorter Skier?

I recently went to Sniagrab to help a ski buddy pick up a pair of fat skis and we lucked out and found a pair of Volkl G4s for just under $300. They only had one length available, 168cm, and my friend bought them. I know it's a great ski but I was unsure about the length...he's a smaller guy, weighs in the 135 lb range (hardcore runner type), and the skis come up to mid-forhead on him. I knew I was no help on the length question because I outweigh him by 40lbs and ski 194s. Do you think we picked up the right length?

Should be perfect- I am 5'8", 130 lbs (also former marathon runner) and am on 168cm R:ex's. I wouldn't want to go longer at my weight and build. Great deal!

Yeah, great deal....I'm 5'8" & 140 ish Those will be perfect...if they were twins it would be a different story (you lose 6-10 cm of running length on twin tips)
