What makes for the super bargains Fox? ...Is it the exchange rate, or are they just that hard up for business?

They're just not as greedy as us!

Yeah, sounds perfectly legit!

And we all know that you'll never be the victim of a scam or shakedown when visiting Russia, right?

Kamchatka was always one of my key territorial conquests in Risk.

Points well made, but:

It looks to me like you could get screwed over twice and actually make the trip on the third try; and still have money in your pocket, as compared to operations on the North American continent. .... And then there is the adventure component!, so it just might have a place in some of this summertime dreaming!

Are those prices for alpine touring? Here are some others, that say they use snowmobiles....

Club skiing in New Zealand is cheap, your airfare is the most expensive part.

At Craigieburn......

6 nights accomodation with 3 meals a day
7 Lift tickets
and a few lessons ......

costs you only $620 NZD. That is about 200 pound, or $300 USD. Okay you have to take a sleeping bag, but you get to stay on the mountain which is rare in NZ. On the down side you have to use rope toes, but on the up side you don't share the ski area with many others. I've had Epic powder days with only 20 people on the mountain! This year they had their busiest day ever with 284 people.

And yes, WTFH, they have a bar. This year there have been a group of Brits that came and stayed on the mountain for over 6 weeks. The bar should make a good profit this season.
