It snowed down to the 9,000ft level last night. Whenever the clouds break for a minute or two, you can see snow all over the Tetons this morning.

YEE HAW.

Yawn. Now for some news that might be of some relevance--Lone Peak at Big Sky, home of the 2005 ESA, got some snow last night.

Unfortunately, the clouds shrouded the camera at Big Sky yesterday. Here is a picture of Lone Peak this morning. You can barely see the remaining snow towards the top.

I can't see any snow here in Park City, yet I hear that there is some way way up high. Nice to think that this is the first snow reports for the 2004/2005 season. Maybe we should start a pool to bet on who will open first and what day?

I'll go with Loveland CO, Oct 29th for the west

not to be critical mrryde, but loveland's date is Oct.14th as of now. no one is gonna beat that unless mother nature steps in and has something to say. i for one ski addict, will be on the webcam watching from work and wondering why i work.

In my fantasy Okemo opens Oct 23rd beating the big "K". But back on the real plant Killington (is VT or NH) Oct 30, Okemo Nov 6th.
