Ski Roads in the News

The group Taxpayers for Common Sense just named two major ski access highways as the most wasteful projects in the nation:

1. West Virginia's Corridor H Appalachian High Project.

2. The expansion of New Hampshire's "Ski" 93.

I can't comment on the one in West Virginia, however, being a lifelong New Englander I can say that the existing "Ski 93" in New Hampshire is a vital link for that area that brings in a lot more commerce than just skiers.

Being a taxpayers group I assume they're against it because of the cost. Is there any environmental opposition?

Do you know how far north they plan to extend it?
