Snowing in Jackson Hole

Sorry, folks, I couldn't resist.

Here at the base of the ski area in Teton Village, it's been snowing since 9:00am this morning. Not much accumulation yet at the bottom of the valley, but the entire ski mountain is starting to look like February.

Here's the US Weather Service Winter Storm Advisory:

TETON AND GROS VENTRE MOUNTAINS-

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY THROUGH 6 AM FRIDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RIVERTON HAS CONTINUED THE WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY TONIGHT. SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT...HEAVY
AT TIMES. TOTAL SNOWFALL BY MORNING WILL RANGE FROM 6 TO 12
INCHES. TRAVELLERS OVER TETON PASS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR WINTER
DRIVING CONDITIONS.

I'll try to post a picture or two tomorrow...

Bob

You may now continue with your regularly-scheduled programming.

Glad to hear. I really don't care if the snow helps the skiing but I am happy to hear about it because it will help stave off the fire season. The entire Rockies really are in bad shape and any late snows & rains really help.
