Say....what?Well, let's see........
In the last couple of weeks, I scraped and painted the front of the house. Planted some reasonable facsimile of a garden--green beans, beets, onions, asparagus, grapes, and squash-- and a bizillion flowers: hostas, daisies, roses, white lillies, columbine, lupines, and impatiens (most of these donated from a friends garden). I weeded, pruned, and spiffed up the yard, including ripping up 8 wheelbarrow loads of maple trees growing in the pines, some of them up to 6 feet tall. Powerwashed the moss off the roof.
I applied for a part time job delivering the rural Pownal mail, and have the civil service test on Thursday.
Named the woodchuck in our neighbors yard (but his hole is about 5 feet from our property line) Pownal Pete, since there is already a Puxatawny Phil. (How DO you spell that????) I don't know if he chucks wood, but he shoots a ton o sand out of his hole on a regular basis. My good neighbor with the spray paint fetish came over and volunteered to shoot him some morning. He said he'd shoot Away from the House, but so far I still see Pete eating the hostas I just planted. I also have a friend from work with a Jack Russell Terrier, and she said she'd send him down the hole to get him. He loves tunnel scouting for things. She says it's kind of spooky to hear him barking underground, but he always comes out, and sometimes he's bloody. Might be better than a gun.
I paid bills, worked a little at Home DePot, cooked, cleaned, took care of the cats and Jeff, and still had time to wonder "why isn't Epic up yet?" heh heh
I had a root canal done today.
None of this had any effect on my withdrawal. The DT's (delirium tremors) still had hold of me until Sunday. (insert smilie face here)
