I was just at Killington. I stayed here:Inn at the Long Trail
They offer some decent midweek ski and stay packages. The fireplace suite sleeps 4. This inn is not four star but it is rustic VT. The Inn sits on Route 4 between Killington and Pico, but is closer to Pico. I strongly suggest spending a day at Pico. I didn't, but Owen, the bartender at the inn, really made me regret not doing so.
One thing I liked about the place was the restaurant and pub. I was too tired to move after skiing all day and was happy to just go to the pub, drink a Guinness, and enjoy some good pub grub. Owen also can give you good tips on where to ski. He knows where the powder is long after a storm.
Inn at Long Trail is a place you'd more expect to find at Stowe than Killington and that's why I enjoyed it.[ December 25, 2003, 03:54 AM: Message edited by: West Virginia Skier ]
