A group of friends (all advanced or better skiers or boarders) is considering a trip to Zermatt, Switzerland. Does anyone here have any thoughts? Due to schedules, the group is going the last week of February. Any advice (including lodging, skiing, food, travel...etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

Zermatt is a really cool village. I spent a couple days there last February - and since it was Valentine's day we treated ourself to a hotel which I would reccomend to anyone willing to spend the money. It is called Park Hotel Beau-Site. I have stayed in fancy hotels all over the world and the atmosphere combined with incredible customer service, great food and a great spa make this my favorite hotel the world over.

Also the town/resort of Saas-Fee is just one valley past Zermatt and is supposed to be equally as beautiful with better skiing and a little better prices. Don't forget Verbier is less than an hour away if you are looking for challenging off piste (always best to have a guide for this).

Have a great trip!
