Buying Skis at Killington

I'm heading up to Killington towards the end of December and am toying with the idea of buying some new skis. Is there a convenient Demo center at the mountain? I really need to test a bunch of models before making a decision....

There is a convenient demo center at the bottom of Snowshed. There's also a bunch of good shops on the access road. What brands are you thinking of trying? I'll let you know what shops carry them.

Thanks Mac. I'm looking mainly at these brands....

I think the demo center on the mountain carries Volkl and Atomic, but I can't be sure as I don't do any business with them. The two best shops on the access road are Northern Ski Works, who carry Volkl and Atomic, and Basin Ski Shop who carry Atomic and Head. There's also Blue Moon Demo Center across the street from Basin Ski that carry all the Ski Magazine Gold Medal Skis, but they only demo, don't have any for sale. However, if you find a pair that you like, they can tell you who carries them in the area. Basin Ski is probably your best bet, as they keep their demos in tip top shape, and have a very liberal policy about crediting demo charges toward your purchase if you decide to buy.

I'll second Northern ski works, I go every couple years for early season demos (from Toledo,Ohio) Good prices too, walked out with 4 pair last year. Ask for Blackey, he's great to work with and knows every restaurant in town.
