Too bad ski co can't get their
$%$%# together. What would they
do if it actually snowed hugh
amounts, they'd never get the slope
I think the skico patrol rocks, especially @ highlands. They bust ass to get things open on deeper days, a daunting task given their terrain. Snowmass the same.
Ajax is good as well, think of what they were trying to do & why the lines formed.
Conditions are thin.
Opening up Jackpot & all of Gents ridge, glades, etc exposes a lot of terrain that is dangerous when thin (as the lack of 4" of edge on my evolutions can attest)
They wanted to keep folks on the top of the mountain,
a) The couch is as slow as a snowboarder on an unwaxed board
b) There were mechanical problems.
While I am not nor have ever been a fan of ski co the company, their patrollers & mountain managers are experienced & professional.
& On the Highlands patrol, extraordinary.
perhaps we can discuss this over a single malt @ Erics on the 14th of Dec after revelling in the amazing amount of the mountain (past mushroom I bet) the patrol @ Highlands open.
