The reporter has been kind enough to leave out the time when, in the Saratoga Bowl area, I launched off a rock and got some surprisingly fresh air - "wheeeeeeeeee" - only to promptly and thoroughly explode on impact. (Yes, it was worth it.)
That IS some nice terrain over in Apres Vous, particularly if dropping into a couloir isn't on your JH calendar. And heck yeah, after seeing the line for the Tram, it didn't take me long to deduce that other directions up might be the ticket. Running uninterrupted laps over there, finding fresh time after time without having to go elbow-to-elbow to get to it, or through it, was a perfect introduction to Jackson Hole.
If you're there for the first time and have no inclination to huck cliffs and want to get your legs under you while still finding plenty of terrain features to keep you awake, consider starting off in Saratoga Bowl. (Be aware that you may leave the area a little after you'd initially intended to.)
