I've only been up to Big White for a few days, so I'm sure the locals will have better advice, but for what it's worth... My impression of Big White was that it was not a very steep mountain. If you like groomers, you're in luck. There are few fun spots that I found. There's a nice big bowl off the T-bar at the top of the mountain that is fairly steep and takes a while to get skied out. Unfortunately, it was closed part of the time I was there because of fog. Also, there is a long, long run-out at the end of the bowl. There used to be a poma lift at the bottom of the bowl to take you back to the T-bar, but for some reason they took it out and now you have to go all the way to the bottom of the mountain.
I found some fun tree skiing off the Black Forest lift (skier's left). Not very steep, but still good and relatively untracked. The Falcon and Powder Chair are both fun, but watch out for rocks. I think there is also decent glade/tree skiiing off both of those lifts, but can't remember any specific lines. Stick around the top of the mountain and you'll be fine. The tree skiing is also reasonably good - just look for places to pop in.
There are a few bars in the village, and at least one seemed pretty active (can't remember its name) The village is relatively small, so just bar-hop until you find a good place.
Big White is a fun mountain when it gets powder - good luck!<FONT size="1">
