Does anybody except rich Americans ski in Colorado and Utah anymore? I priced out a vacation at Vail, and it would have cost more than triple that of an interior BC trip!
Sun Peaks does not get a lot of fresh snow on a regular basis. Don't expect great powder days. I've skied there several times and mostly found it adequate, but not exciting. I don't think I'll be going back.
If you're looking for challenging terrain, the mountain below the mid station on the Burfield chair is good but low in elevation, and has been mostly crusty and crappy when I was there. The bump runs off the ridge that the main chair on Todd Mtn. (Sunsomething, can't recall the name) can give you some steeps and mogul monsters to deal with. At least one of them was groomed when I've been there, but the others were not.
If you like cruising blues and greens, you'll love it.
