Alpine Lake WV  probably golf only now (near Wheeling WV)

Elk Meadows UT  closed for 10 years because of no sewage plant - reopened recently as Eagle Point Resort (1/2 way between SLC & Las Vegas)

    above 2 are excuses to sell real estate.

 

Laurel Mt PA  30 years ago. PA parks has been trying to reopen it for 20 years. @Laurel Hill Crazie is the ambassador for this closed area.

 

Braddock Heights MD   Some bar put a 150 ft vertical t bar slope in their back yard so they could laugh at skiers. -closed 20 years ago

Homestead VA  5 star hotel. 35 years ago when they had the Hannes Schneider "Skimobile" cars. Only other one was at Black Mt NH

 

White Pass WA  only since radio said it was open in April. when I got there no lifts were running, A guy weeding flowers at their 1 chairlift was only person in sight. He was Phil & Steve Mahre's father ! :eek  He said "Oh, you want to ski then go into a building and

buy a ticket from my wife in the snack bar".  I was then the only one skiing at the entire area !

 

Middlebury College Ski Bowl VT    may still be open.

Beaver Mt  Logan UT   My nephew worked there.  No jokes please.

Sipapu, NM  Run by Indians.   I think they closed this year this weekend with FREE skiing for all.

 

Pajarito Mt Los Alamos NM  No Snowmaking. one year they opened only one day. This year also bad.

Pebble Creek ID    yes, slopes were littered with pebbles at that time. :(

June Mt CA  they finally reopened this year. nice trails absurdly slow lifts.

 

Silver Mt ID. View of the worst govt toxic waste superfund site in the USA.

Grouse Mt  BC canada.  Total fog at top of tram could see nothing!

Tuckerman's Ravine NH (no lifts)  8 times on Memorial Day

 

   My sister skied Underhill Ski Bowl Vt and Cochran ski area VT

   Work boss(who I still ski with) skied Mauna Kea Big Island Hawaii.

Middlebury Snowbowl is still open....

 

Laurel Mountain, Pa - closed great vertical for its area and pitch

 

White Grass, Wv - old lift served area convert to ski toruing and XC day use area

 

Wolf Mountain, Ut small like really small for utah

 

Beaver Mountain, Ut small but very fun in logan utah

 

Boyce Park, Pa - pittsbrugh parks own ski hill, great park

 

HoliMont, Ny  private ski area next to holiday valley, great tree skiing.
