Breckenridge to Steamboat?

Has anyone driven from Breckenridge to Steamboat? I wondering the travel time in non-snowstorm weather.

I looked it up on mapquest. It gave a route taking CO-9 to US-40 that's 103 miles, but it gave the travel time as 3 hours which seemed too long for that mileage unless mapquest takes a winding road/ mountain pass factor into account. Is CO-9 even open or advisable to drive in the winter?

It's a little over 2 hours via us 40. #9 is ok in good weather. The scenery past the Gore Range is great. If snowing, past Kremmling is where visibility gets bad. Then Rabbit Ears pass can be nasty in snow. Seen alot of wrecks there, people go too fast.
For a great round trip go over Rabbit Ears to get there & then from Steamboat to Oak Creek & Toponas takes you back to US 40 close to Kremmling. Or vise versa. Look at map.

Sail and Ski!
Look for crud, it makes u better.

I always go route 9 to Steamboat to avoid Berthoud Pass. With decent weather from Breck it'll take a little over 2 hours. Good luck.

Well I wonder where that skier's bound. Is there some run, somewhere, someway out there that I've not found?
