I had my skis all waxed and looking good for a western trip next week but decided to go to a local hill and take a new pair of boots for a test run.
When I got home I noticed the bases looked really oxidized.I rubbed them with a scotchbrite pad and they shined back up.It was like a layer of old dried wax.
It was a soggy 35 degrees,the wax I used was Swix CH6.
What caused this? A colder temp wax than condions? Poor wax job? Not scraping enough?
