Just got back from Vail yesterday and it was a fun trip. Got in Tuesday night and the snow was falling the whole trip on I-70. More snow on Wednesday, but not a ton of accumulation. Sun from that point on, but quite cold in the mornings. The Back Bowls and Blue Sky Basin were in pretty good shape, but were getting thin towards the end of the week. Still found a little powder in Outer Mongolia on Friday. Skied Beaver Creek on Saturday. My friends wanted to try out Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead in the morning, so we did. Kind of a waste of time. Lots of kids and not much challenge. The houses and condos lining the trails are impressive, to say the least. Where do so many people get that kinf of money? Other than that some fun terrain there. Lots of bumps on Birds of Prey and Rose Bowl.

The recommendations for Kaltenberg Castle were great. This place is great for apres: 1 liter steins for $5, and it's great beer. That's hard to beat anywhere!

Saw the torch go through town on Friday. We were at Lionshead and some guy ran through before the real torch with a tiki torch! It was pretty funny. Everyone was taking pictures thinking it was the real McCoy.

Now I'm ready to plan my next trip
