Got back from Colorado last night. Can you say Mashed Potatoes?
Sunday: A-Basin, plenty of sun, plenty of snow, plenty of bumps (not my thing). Did a giant face plant in the heavy snow on Land of the Giants!
Monday: Breck, warm, snowing, super heavy snow, felt bagged after A-Basin, started apres-ski at 2:00pm, and stopped around midnight.
Tuesday: rough morning (see Monday), bus to Keystone, fantastic in the morning, sunny and firm snow, but real heavy and sticky in the pm
Wed: Vail, same weather and conditions as Tues. Rain started around 3:15, and some lightening caused a closure of the lifts for a while.
Thurs: Breck, awesome day, but got pretty heavy again in the pm
Fri: Breck, snowing quite a bit, and flat light, but a good day if I had any legs left. Started apres-ski about 10:45am!
My advice is to start early with the opening of the lifts, and do a late lunch to get the best snow.
