I grew up across the steet from the North Chair. My mom still lives there.
Blue's developed at lot. They've put in high speed six packs and quads. Improved their snow making.
It's really busy now, but still a "social" hill.
And yes, Happy Valley is still there, although we always called it Death Valley cause of all the beginners!
I live on Toronto, Canada.
This is my and my friend's primary resort in Ontario, so we ski there most of the time. It is by all means the best mountain resort in Ontario. It did improve over the years, but the place keeps on getting busier and busier every time I ski there. I've read in the news thatm this year their season passes sales doubled over last year mostly because of Sept. 11, so most people are not willing to fly, when they've got Blue... Last year on March break most groomed intermidiate runs turned out into 100% moguls because of the huge crowds, well, this year I think moguls will be a usual thing.
Happy Valley is still there. I and my friend love it! It is the best possible warm up! You excelerate at the beginning and just fly through those beginners.... It is like glade skiing.... but this are moving ones...
