Hmmm…. in compiling my current list I noticed I haven't skied in CO, NM or MT, so I have still have a few dozen places I'd like to visit. I had about 20 years of not skiing, so I suppose that partly accounts for my pathetic list, most of which has grown in the last 4 years. That said, I'm not making it a goal to accumulate a long list. At least that's my story right now.
Among the places I have visited, Red Mt, Schweitzer and Brundage have offered some amazing skiing, as good or better than the majors I've been to. The lack of crowds is definitely an attraction for me, so much so that I don't feel compelled to go to most major destination resorts just to pay more money and get less skiing. Idaho and BC interior totally rock.
Summit at Snoqualmie (Ski Acres in the old days)
Alpental (because despite being part of the Summit at Snoqualmie, it's a completely different animal)
Mt Hood Meadows
