The bases at ALL the areas in VT took a serious beating last week. First, we had a warm spell, that brought good spring conditions, but melted a lot of snow. Then we had a hard rainfall Sat night, followed by a sudden drop in temp. I don't have to spell out what THAT did to an already thining base. Most areas hurriedly turned on their snow guns for one last blast; but you can bet that this late in the season, they won't be going through the expense of covering the mountains. In short, since no big snow storm is on the radar, you might as well take a chance. It may be time for the Fat Lady to sing on this season.
