Salomon boot refit question

Thread Starter
I have some Salomon XWave 10's a few years old with maybe 40-50 days total. I have begun to notice some looseness.

WOuld reheating/forming the liners like when I first purchased them help?

If so, would I need to go a ski shop or can I use a hairdryer? If hairdryer, how long to I heat each boot?

TIA,
guy

Check the shell fit
1-2 cm behind the heel. more and the shell is too big. buy a smaller boot

The liner packs out to the shell and reheating, wont change that.

if the shell fits and you have a loose feeling somewhere, go to a boot fitter and get them to work on it adding some padding, shims, etc.

Thanks for the response.

I have a very small shell size for my foot size. I think maybe some packing occurred in extra tight areas. Why do you suggest not reheating/expanding and resetting/molding to my foot?

as far as I have seen the reheating doesn;t do much. Ive always found that the heating of the liner just helps to speed up the pack out of the ski boot. Try it if you want, it wont do harm.
