How is the snow holding up?
Hello Whitney,

Just returned from Squaw last night, the snow is patchy at the area on the first downhill section after the Cable Car exit ( to be expected since every one is using it ) however they have good coverage at the higher elevations. It was very windy at the top which was fairly unpleasant.

They had light rain yesterday so the conditions may have changed.

FWIW My family and I, plus most of the lift staff it seems, skied the last three days at Northstar since the snow conditions there where better- more like spring skiing abeit with less snow.

They are expecting 1" of rain Sunday according to the locals so I would recommend calling ahead...

Regards,

UK2TX2CA....long time lurker who finally had something to add!

the snow is pretty bad i skied there saturday called it quits around 1 or something. Siberia bowl and Shirley lake are open. Every run of shirley has tree heads and rocks as it funnels to the lifts. Siberia is big icy moguls. Its quite icy most places not very pleasant. I skied alpine this weekend too and that was much better but still rocks and spring conditions. Squaw was a bit cheaper like 43 or 44 dollars which was not bad but its not really worth it in my opinion unless they get snow tonight which is a possiblity but it was quite warm so it may rain instead.
