Great for opening day. Snow was soft but stayed good until after noon. Then it got a little grippy. No "death cookies" and ice like most opening days. It was workable and not too fast. There were two runs open, the main chair and the handle tow beginners run.
They plan on opening Tues. 4:00 to 9:00 PM and Fri. Sat. and Sun. 9:00 to 5:00.

They just started blowing snow at MQT mtn. They got 14 new guns and they work great. They were making snow at about 30-32 degrees..... that's unheard of at mqt. See ya soon, SLATZ!

My friend that lived in Jackson Hole used to say "two things fall out of the sky, one of them is bird poop". I'm not much of a jumper. The jump is small right now. I just saw them making more snow in that area tonight. I'm sure it's going to be bigger soon. Don is very tuned into the likes of his customers and jumping and terrain are one thing Tyrol is famous for.

Went again last night. Wet but fast. The jump's getting bigger. The weather isn't looking good for this weekend though.

They turned the guns on Sat AM and didn't shut them off until 10:00 this AM. Not as good as two weeks ago but darn good. Lots of sunshine all day. (it's about grinnin, right?)
Saw one of the instructors, a hard core HH disciple, skiing in that locked up, narrow stance. :

They don't open daily until Christmas.
Only one run open for now. The plan is to be open Tues. 4:00 to 9:00 if the weather holds. Sat. and Sun. too.
I wouldn't drive from Indiana for it.
