I was wondering if anybody knew of any place we could pick up discounted tickets for Blue Mountain in Collingwood. It was never a concern before, but the Fiancee & I bought a house this fall. We've gotten out a few times this year, but were hoping to spend next weekend there. We came to the realization that it would be almost $200 for the both of us for 2 days skiing. I don't mind paying that much coin at a bigger hill, but it kinda hurts when you're paying that for Ontario skiing.
Can't help you with discounted tickets but if you want to cut costs, consider skiing just 4 hours straight (no hot chocolate breaks!) on a day ticket, then turning in your tickets for a rebate (I think that it's $7 or $9). You'll get more runs in if you start mid-morning & ski through lunch hour (when everyone else is eating!) and avoid the quad chair near the main lodge, which always has long lineups.
Next year, consider buying a 5x7 pass early in the season (i.e. in September!). You can ski any nights of the week and any weekdays for the bargin basement price of $139 (this year's price) for the season!
Check out the Blue Mtn. website for details.
