Big White Accommodations

We are planning a 5 day trip to Big White in February, and I'm looking for some recommendations about accommodations there.

It is a family trip, me, the wife and two kids, 12 and 14. Perhaps the wife's sister and/or parents might join us, but for now it's just us. I'm not overly particular about hotel vs. condo, as long as I can prepare breakfasts, and have a fridge to store libations in. A separate bedroom is a must.

I'm not looking for the best place on the hill, just clean and well maintained does it. We're there to ski, not entertain or cocoon. I think we would prefer something near the Village Center for the kids, and ski in/ski out is why we're there.

If you have any recommendations, I would welcome them most gladly.

Thanks in advance. Happy skiing!

Check out www.bigwhite.com and head for accomodation. This includes room layouts.
Last year we stayed at The Eagles, bit up market but someone else was paying the difference. Three bedrooms and all the mod cons.
This year we will be at the Whitefoot Lodge, right in the centre of the Village. This is the economy (bit older than some of the other) accomodation but with different room configurations, including full kitchens, ski in ski out and next door to the store and grog outlet. Ski school meets outside the front door and the ski hire and lift tickets etc are just across the road.
Enjoy your stay. We will be there in January and I reckon it is a great mountain.

Jimmy , we always stat at the "Inn at Big White"(formerly the Coast Resort), great place for kids and family . It's central in the village to most everything and prices aren't to bad.

Nomad - Thanks for the input. I had checked out the Whitefoot on the website, but it looks like it's right over the store etc.

I thought that may make it a bit noisy, seeing as it doesn't seem that big. Any thoughts on this??

Leeroy - Thanks for the input. Had noticed the Inn, and it is on the short list.

If I remember rightly, the store is at one end, with another floor of Gym/Medical centre and Knick Knack shop between it and the accomodation, along with a Chinese restraunt beside it. The store is not noisy, and closes at nine.
You are more likely to have problems from noisy Australians in the room next door. But then that could happen anywhere you stay.
I could let you know after we have been, but you need to book before then I expect.
Except for the Nightclub in Snowshoe Sams I do not think there is anywhere at Big White that makes much noise after the lifts close! Everyone is regrouping for the next day.
