Well, that's encouraging, since I'm going to Fernie in mid-March! I was afraid to ask this sort of question for fear of ridicule. But, since someone's proffered such an optimistic prediction, it begs the question, what makes you think so?
I lived at Panorama last winter and took a trip to Fernie. We all had snow-famine for most of the year but about two weeks after I got back from Fernie they got two 30cm dumps in a week. For the rest of the season they got snow. One day in April I went to pick up my friend to go riding (on Panorama Mtn.) and there was a note on his door: "Gone to Fernie - 55cm."
The point is the whole BC interior got shafted last year excepot Fernie, which was saved by late snowfalls. Fernie simply gets the most snow out there. As well, they have beautiful open bowls and thin glades. There's nothing like a powder morning at Fernie.
This year will be different that last year (I believe) because everyone is already getting dumped. Panorama's already got two or three snowfalls that were bigger than any we got last year. (We didn't have a single 15cm+ day all year!). If Pano's got it, Fernie will have it in excess. Have fun!
