I will be up at the 'boat on 2/2-2/3 for the quattro club winter driving school, not sure if I will make it on the mountain. But here are a few of my favorites, so fill your camelback with some OE and get going.
Priest creek area is pretty nice, shadows and closet are classics, especially if there is some new snow. For some mellow terrain for your companions, check out morningside park on the back side. Not real crowded and the tree clumps can be fun. You can also enter this area from the priest creek lift, there is usually some fresh in there with some nice small drops.
Next up is the bar-ue lift, I always seem to spend most of the time in this area. Head back under the lift and you get some nice trees. Or traverse skiers right into the ridge area towards the chutes, there are great lines all over here. Get off the morningside lift and check out the chutes, with new snow these are nice, but I usually find them skied off. From this point hike up toward the radio towers, christmas tree bowl is to your left or keep going to north st. pats or east face. There are some nice steeps back there, not real long, only downside is this also includes a long somewhat flat runnout to get back into the main area. Lots of good stuff on that side of the mountain, go exploring.
I have started exploring the pioneer ridge, it's interesting, some nice terrain, but faces south so it can get crunchy.
Have fun and pray for freshies.
