No where else on planet earth do skiers have a tough time loading and unloading on a high speed detachable lift. Because the cable is slower for loading and unloading , it should be easier. But as you point out, skiers at the Springs have a problem with it.
We disagree on the slope congestion that would occur with a new high speed on the backside. Per Buckeye Skier's post that the interminable long back side lift rides have motivated him to ski elsewhere and spend money at another ski area instead,I hope is recognized and validates the resort's need to upgrade their lifts.
You and I and about another 8,000 season pass holders are going to ski at 7 Springs no matter what. But if the day ticket customer is choosing another ski area then I'm encouraged to believe an economic- business decision can be made to put in the new lift.
I'd gladly go back to the pre discounted season pass price for a year or two if 7Springs would apply this money to a new high speed on Gunnar, Giant Steps, or North face.
