I have a Christmas/NY ski trip planned for Summitt County/Vail-Beaver Creek area between Christmas and New Years.Any knowledge out there on how the snow usually is at that time? Thanks Steve

Snow could be anything, but it's usually pretty good. Crowds in summit county could be huge, Beaver Creek will be your best bet.

Shredheads right its a guess. Typically however its good. He is right too about BC. Both BC and Vail black out those dates to buddy pass holders so not as many frontrangers up. Rumor going around that Keystone may black out those dates on passes purchased in the fall. Just a rumor.

Thanks for the info. I know christmas/new years is not the perfect time to avoid crowds, but I couldn't help the timing in this case. Any tips on avoiding crowds or getting discounts on lift tickets is most appreciated. Aloha Steve

you might be able to get discount tickets at a kingsooper grocery store in denver. dont know if they'll block it out.

and i dont know if breckenridge is a possibility, but i'd take the town of breckridge at christmas time over about anywhere else.
