For those Kiwis who are overseas, you might want to call home and buy a seasons pass.

NZ Ski area are selling a national seasons pass to cover 15 areas for $799 NZD. They are limited to 625 applicants).

Areas covered include
Remarkables, Coronet Peak, Treble Cone, Cardrona, Rainbow, Turoa, Ohau, Round Hil (Tekapo), Mt Dobson,Mt Hutt, The Snow Park(?), Waiorau Snow Farm, Porter Heights, Mt Lyford, Whakapapa. Only club areas are not on the list - it is all the commercial areas.

Proceeds will be used to promote and grow NZ'ers participation in snow sports. So effectively the ski areas get nothing - so it is also a donation to promoting the sport.

Have to purchase using credit by phoning
0800 476699
0800 4 SNOWW

I don't know how you go phoning an 0800 number if you are overseas, so you might need to get someone to order for you. I have purchased mine - sale started Monday 9am. I have been totally selfish and not posted this until I had purchased mine - it is now 9:15 am.....

Last year we had the $299 seasons passes. I don't know if these are going to occur this year as and Treble Cone are undergoing ownership changes. I am acquainted with the possible new owners of Treble Cone, if they succeed in buying the ski area their passes will not be $299, they believe that dedicated TC skiers won't be seduced away by cheap passes elsewhere and would probably pay more, eg. $499. If you just ski one mountain you might want to wait and see, but if you are going to be moving about this is the one to get.
