Just to give you an idea of what the weather and snow were like during my skiing holidays. It was warm for the first half (till Wednesday) and a bit colder for the rest of the week. Staying in Les Menuires my view is taken from the perspective of leaving from there in the morning and coming back in the evening.

Snow quality was usualy great in the morning and deteriorated during the day even around 2000 metres (Val Thorens). Some runs down to Les Menuires (from Mt. de la Chambre) were very slushy with patches of uncovered ground and some stones on them later in the afternoon.

Now a selection of my favourite runs and their condition:

1. Courchevel

Saulire from Saulire
Pylones and m from La Vizelle
Chanrossa and Pachod from Roc Merlet

Excellent grippy snow in the morning and getting slushy in the afternoon.

2. Meribel

Campagnol and Combe Vallon from Mont Vallon

Excellent snow with only the bottom of Combe Vallon getting slushy in the afternoon.

3. Val Thorens/Les Menuires

Red runs on the Peclet glacier - great snow for the whole day

Beranger from the Peclet glacier to Val Thorens - great snow with some slush in Val Thorens

Col was a bit icy and fairly busy.

Combe de Caron and Col de L'audzin from Cime de Caron and Masse from Point De La Masse - great snow the whole day.

Dame Blanche - did this 6 times on Saturday ! great snow all the way down and very quiet. Probably the best run of the week.

Might temp you a bit more with some photos later.
