We have two disturbances passing through, one tonight that should put about an inch or so in the mountains, and again Wednesday night. Wednesday night’s system looks to be on a strong southwest flow with good moisture. Areas favored by this track may see 3-6” overnight and Thursday, but will have a better handle tomorrow. Today’s winds will be in the low and mid 20’s, but will increase to strong tonight.
Moderate to strong westerly and southwesterly winds will accompany both disturbances. Thursday night’s system carries a well defined cold front with plenty of moisture. Snowfall amounts at this time could exceed a foot and a half, as snowfall continues throughout the day Friday. High pressure rebuilds for the weekend, with another low pressure trough following for Monday/Tuesday.
