3 resorts. From March 29 through April 6 the Sierra experienced the best of my personal favorite snow conditions. The weekend of March 29 was warm perfect Spring skiing. Spent Saturday at Sugar Bowl where the glop off of Disney Chair was perfect . Mt Lincoln was a little funky but Disney was great. Sunday was spent at Mt Rose in 60 degree temps with firm winter like conditions on the North facing Mt Rose side and again perfect spring glop on the east bowl. I spent the morning on skis and the afternoon on the snowboard. Great fun.

Winter made a return on the first of April and I was lucky enough to blow off work on April 2nd for an awesome day of powder at Sugar Bowl. It snowed all day and the temps never rose above 25. The snow was knee deep, light and dry. Thursday was bluebird with fresh snow but I was a good boy and worked because the weather forecast was calling for another storm Friday. I worked till noon on Friday and was riding the knee deep cold smoke at Sugar Bowl by 1:PM. It snowed most of the afternoon so fresh tracks were easily found. The wind was doing its thig as well. Temps were in the low 20's. Saturday started out sunny but I didn't make it to the hill until noon. The east and south faces had become a little sunbaked but again the clouds rolled in and the North facing slopes were epic mid winter conditions. Not much in the way of new accumulation. The week concluded with another cloudy day at Alpine Meadows. The North Facing slopes were soft and fluffy. Anything that had been directly hit by sun was funky but there was plenty of midwinter snow to be had.

Somehow I manged to get 6 days out of 9 on the slopes at 3 resorts and do my job . A week like this past week really makes me appreciate living here in the desert. It's supposed to be 70 by Wednesday and 60 in the Sierra.
