PLENTY OF LODGING AVAILABLE AT UTAH SKI RESORTS DURING 2002 OLYMPIC WINTER
GAMES FEB. 8-24, 2002

SALT LAKE CITY, UT - (August 29, 2001) Officials at Ski Utah today
announced that Utah ski resorts are reporting plenty of lodging availability
during the upcoming Salt Lake City Olympic Winter Games, Feb. 8-24, 2002.
"We've just polled our 14 mountain resorts, and all of them have lodging
availability not only during the Games, but before and after the Games as
well," says Ski Utah Communications Director Nathan Rafferty.

"Park City Mountain Reservations is booking condominium lodging all day long
and has plenty of inventory left," says Bonnie Crail, marketing director at
Park City Mountain Resort. "Potential visitors may call 800-222-PARK to
access 90 percent of the condos available in Park City. Park City Mountain
Reservations also assists visitors in booking flights, rental cars, lift
passes and rental equipment."

Snowbird Communications Director Dave Fields reports that Snowbird has
corporate and guest lodging available before, during and after the 2002
Olympic Winter Games. Guests may call 800-453-3000 or book reservations
online at www.snowbird.com.

Brian Head Resort, (including the towns of Brian Head, Parowan and Cedar
City), has over 3,000 lodging units currently available during the Feb.
8-24, 2002 timeframe.
Brian Head visitors may call 888-771-1404 to reach Brian Head Destination
Services, or visit www.brianhead.com; www.brianheadutah.com; or www.scenicsouthernutah.com.

Solitude Mountain Resort still has lodging available during the Games.
Visitors should access the "specials" page at www.skisolitude.com or call
800-748-4SKI.

Deer Valley Resort reports plenty of lodging availability during the Games.
Interested parties can contact Deer Valley Central Reservations at
800-558-DEER (3337) or visit www.deervalley.com.

Visitor Information Services Coalition of Utah (VIS), in conjunction with
area convention and visitors bureaus, chambers of commerce and hospitality
and tourism organizations, is Salt Lake 2002s official visitor information
service for the Olympic Winter Games. VIS currently has a limited inventory
of hotel, motel and condominium accommodations, but is continually adding
rooms. For more information and online reservations, visit www.saltlakeinfo.org or call toll free (888) 222-5562.

Other helpful resources for those looking to stay in Utah this winter are
the Salt Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau Web site, www.saltlakeinfo.org;
the Park City Chamber Bureau Web site, www.parkcityinfo.com/2002olympics/lodging; or Ski Utah's site at www.skiutah.com.

"Past Olympic venues have informed us that their ski business has been down
during Olympic years because people are afraid of crowds," says Ski Utah
President Kip Pitou. "It's actually going to be a fantastic year to ski and
ride Utah. All of our mountain resorts are open; slopes will be uncrowded;
we have plenty of lodging availability; and with our season-long $20.02
Winter Celebration program, visitors can purchase lift tickets for $20.02
off the daily rate if they book three nights lodging with participating
properties. The snow's going to be fantastic as usual. Visitors still have
plenty of time to book a Utah ski vacation for the upcoming season."

For more information on lodging availability before, during and after Utah's
Olympic Winter Games, or on the $20.02 Winter Celebration, please contact
Ski Utah Communications Director Nathan Rafferty at 801-534-1779.
