Lodro - I know every tiny corner of WC, I taught, coached, trained and eventually Ski School Directed on that mountain. There is no summertime grooming like on many mountains (i.e. they don't pick up rocks and stumps). Its amazing to see the size of rocks and logs in the middle of even beginner trails in July when most of the snow is finally gone. Our rule of thumb was that in general until there is around an 80" packed base you don't want to pull out the really nice boards. Usually all of the terrain cannot be opened up until they get above 70-80" either.
You'll have fun. Tell any workers you see that I said "Hello" - if you see the owners tell them . . . oh, better not even mention my name or they might pull your pass!
