Park City with Kids

Thread Starter
We are taking our first trip to Utah and staying in Park City. Our kids, ages 7 and 9, have been skiing for two years and can handle easier blue runs. From looking at the trail map it appears the the area serviced by the King Con lift has plenty of blue runs. Would this be a good area of the Mountain for us to spend our time on or does anyone have any other suggestions.

Our kids were 6 and 7 when we when last spring break. Probably about the same ability level as yours. Park City was nice, but when we were there it rained several days so we spent most of our time at the Cottonwoods Canyons area - snow everyday.

Brigton/Solitude was great and our kids surprisingly liked Snowbird - I thought it would too difficult. It was so windy the day we went to Alta that it our kids were cold.

We are going back to Utah 11/28 - 12/5, staying in Sandy and going to Cottonwood Canyons (and maybe Snowbasin).

Have a great time.

It's been a long time since I've been there, so not best to answer your question, but I believe there are green or blue ways down from most lifts on that mtn. Only Jupiter and Pine Ridge sections are strictly black diamond. Your kids could wind up skiing two thirds of the terrain there. A day or two at nearby Deer Valley would also afford lots of mellow intermediate terrain.
