Powder mountain is a rather diffrent ski Mountain. It's a real Family run Mountain. I'm not sure of the lift served size but they have access to over 5000 acres. That can be hiked into or for a small fee You can get a ride in a snowcat or maybe even a tow behind a snowmobile.By The way Powder Mountain claims about 500 inches of snow a season. Ski your line and a old school bus will take you back to the base area. There was a deal in the works to sell Powder Mountain and the new owners were going to put in a few new lift to better serve that 5000 acers of some really fantastic skiing. However that deal didn't come together. Most Powder Mountain locals were happy that the sale didn't happen. Just south of Powder Mountain is another Utah jem Snowbasin. I really like this Mountain a lot there is some great terrain plenty of steeps, chutes and excellent tree skiing. The few times I have skied there on week days you are looking for someone to ski with. On weekends you may have 10 to 12 people in front of you in the lift line. I'm sure that others that live in Ogden or Logan Ut can tell you a lot more about both Mountains. Oh and last season a season Pass to Powder mountain was around $350.00. If it were closer to me I would have bought one.
