New Rossignol Black Ops Ski

Never used or mounted Rossi Black Ops, Size 186

Debated selling this ski, but my injury kept me from mounting these this season and I finally decided to continue to clear stock of what I didn't or can't use this year. Picture is kind of crappy because I can't get the skis down so I took pictures of them in the rack. It's the one in the middle. Also provided a stock photo.

$500 plus shipping from 92620

Wish I knew the slightest thing about these skis, other than the Rossi online "sneak peak" video that shows them slarving and jumping through a sort of snow cave in upright style.   A promising ski, but unknown.

There is some info here, https://blackops.rossignol.com. And blister gear did a review also, http://blistergearreview.com/gear-reviews/rossignol-blackops

Some more info on tgr forums. I determined I'm not cool enough to own these.

Thanks.  The blistergear review is fine, except they haven't been on the ski (or at least not in the article).  A few of the discussion commenters have, but hard to tell from that.  They make it sound like a charger, something like the Volkl Confession or the Pinnacle 118, instead of a jibe ski? - not sure.  Does not sound like the Bibby Pro, but.....  I'd have to try it or see something detailed from Blister - dunno.   Very interesting, though.  I too am probably not cool enough.  But, hey, I can drool.  :)

Hey Jeffc7, do you think these would be too long for a 5'7 intermediate @ 180lbs.   Might be interested.

Honestly, I don't know. It probably depends on how aggressive you are. I would say if you are advancing in ability, then it should be ok. If you are at your limit in ability and take it easy, I would say it's not the right ski. It could be a ski to grow in to. There is a fair amount of rocker so that effectively shortens the ski. Aside from injury, one other reason I'm selling is because I think they may be too short for me. I'm 6', 195# and advance skier. The ski I use now for powder is a 193 Nordica Helldorado and that is perfect for me as well as a 193 Nordica Capo. I leave those skis in my Mammoth condo and wanted another ski to stay at home with me. My everyday ski is a 190 Rossi E100, but that being said, I also use a Rossi Hero ST in a 176 and Hero LT in a 185.

My personal opinion is that weight and ability matter most in sizing skis. The skis don't know how tall you are.

Don't know if I helped you or confused you more.
