Yet another sizing question

My 18 yo has lost his skis for our annual trip to Japan.

I'm reluctant to buy another pair of skis for him and looking in my cupboard I think that my touring setup might do the trick.

188 K2 Sidestash's.

He is a fit and strong off piste skier who is used to powder. He is about 6' (180cm) but only weighs a bit over 170lb. Rugby forward so very strong in the legs and no stranger to the squat machine and leg press. As mentioned, strong but not what I would call a finesse skier. Will mainly be off the groomers and out the gates, open bowls up top with some tight tress below.

His longest skis to date have been 178 (Ninthward RDS, 113 underfoot)

Opinions on whether or not the 188's might be too long appreciated.

cheers

It should be fine. I'm only 5'9", and my skis are in the 180 range. The 188 should be just right for him.

^What he said! Those 188s will be fine for him especially if he is that athletic.
