Hey all, I am new and was wondering if people might have any advice about where to spend 90 days skiing in Europe on the cheap. I am currently living in Sweden and am looking to go skiing the EU from mid Jan until mid April and am looking for somewhere to go that is not too expensive.
I have spent 6 winters in BC, 5 of them in Revelstoke. Las year is spend a month between St Anton and La Grave and I have also spent time in Chamonix. I am trying to find somewhere in Europe that has reliable snow, varied terrain, and cheap accomodation. It would also be good to go somewhere with a good local scene where I can meet people to ski with. Ideally I would go to Chamonix, but the pass is very expensive and I think turning up in January it might be hard to find long term accomodation.
At the moment I have a good opportunity for cheap accomodation in La Grave, although I am worried about spending 3 months there as if conditions are bad your sort of screwed.
A friend of mine has been pushing me to go to the Dolomites and has given me his guide book which shows some pretty amazing couloirs that don't get skied that much. I am wondering if people have tips about getting accomodation in any resorts in Europe that meet my criteria. Any general advice would be much appreciated.
