Bigfoot returns to the slope and needs your help [older, tall, intermediate]

So grateful to this forum for the education and polite tone of discussion.  Need your help.  My story is so typical;  skied like a madman on my Head 210's back in the day then left the sport to work and raise a family.  I'm now 63, 6'2" and on a good day around 220 lbs.  I returned to skiing about 3 years ago doing lessons and the rental routine to adjust to all the new tech.  Time for my own gear.  I already have a nice, professionally fitted pair of boots (a necessity as I have a size 15 foot), live in Michigan's northwest lower peninsula and now need a good pair of skis.  I'm an on-piste, no trees, cruiser kind of guy, and my instructors tell me I'm an advancing intermediate.  Here are some of the skis I'm considering:

- Head Strong Instinct Ti

- Rossi Experience 84

- Salomon X Drive 8.3

- Elan Amphibio 84 Ti

- Icelantic Pilgrim mated to Marker Griffons (outlier)

Any and all opinions and recommendations accepted gratefully.  Many thanks in advance

Sounds like you already have all the bases covered. Boot fitting done is key, and any of those skis will probably work great for you. If you have an opportunity to do some demos, by all means do it. But the skis you have listed fit your niche pretty well.

Looks like @skiessentials has the 2016 Rossi for $525 w/ bindings or $349 flat.

Welcome to Epicski, Moose16.  Sounds like you've done some good research.  Any of those should be tons of fun - don't be shy to go as narrow as 75 mm waist.  The overall trend these days for ski design is to go a touch narrower; the huge fatties are staying on the store shelves.
